Tech help for seniors

Patient help, at your pace.

Technology should make life easier, not more stressful. I offer friendly, one-on-one tech help for older adults across eastern Connecticut, explained in plain English with all the patience you need. No question is too small and nothing is ever "obvious."

What I help with

Honestly, my favorite part of the job.

Whether it's learning something new or making sure your computer is safe, I'll sit down with you and work through it together, step by step.

One-on-one tech lessons

Want to video call the grandkids, send photos, use email confidently, or finally understand your smartphone? I'll teach you at your pace, repeat things as many times as you like, and leave you with simple written steps you can follow later on your own.

Scam protection setup

Online scams target older adults every single day. I'll set up your computer and phone with protections that block the worst of it, show you exactly what fake virus warnings and "grandchild in trouble" scams look like, and give you a simple rule of thumb for staying safe.

Simple, safe computer setup

I'll set up your computer, tablet, or printer so everything is easy to find and hard to break. Big clear icons, the programs you actually use, automatic updates handled, and the confusing stuff tucked out of the way.

Ongoing, friendly support

Once we've worked together, you're never on your own. When something new pops up or you just can't remember how to do that one thing again, send a message and I'll get you sorted. Family members are always welcome to reach out on a parent's behalf too.

What it's like

No rushing. No jargon. No judgment.

A lot of "tech support" makes people feel silly for asking. That's the opposite of how I work.

1

We talk it through

You or a family member sends a message about what you'd like help with. I'll suggest a plan and we'll book a time that suits you.

2

We sit down together

At your home or remotely, we go through it step by step, at your pace. Ask anything, as many times as you like. That's what I'm there for.

3

You're set up to succeed

You get simple written steps to keep, a safer computer, and someone local you can always message when something new comes up.

Let's make technology friendly again.

Book a visit for yourself, or set one up for a parent or grandparent. I'd genuinely love to help.
